Ride Farther, Faster, and in Greater Comfort

Whether you're a seasoned professional cyclist or just starting out, the proper bicycle fit can greatly affect the quality and enjoyment of your ride. While there are many fit services to choose from, Body Geometry FIT is the most comprehensive fit system available, regardless of your experience level or the brand of bike you choose to ride. It goes beyond the basics offered by competitors and is an individualized, scientifically proven system focusing on all aspects of your riding position.

Designed specifically to help cyclists ride faster, longer, in greater comfort and with less chance of injury, Body Geometry FIT has been developed through years of cooperation with Dr. Andy Pruitt, Ed.D., PA of the Boulder Center for Sports Medicine, and is available only through Specialized dealers.

What to Expect

Every fit, whether you're a novice or experienced cyclist, starts with a brief interview between you and your trained Body Geometry FIT technician. The 2-3 hour Body Geometry FIT process that follows will help your fitter fully understand you, your riding, and your body's needs through a:

Pre-Fit Interview

Your fitter will ask a series of questions about your injury and riding history, thereby sharpening the focus of the flexibility assessment that follows.

20-Point Flexibility Assessment

This series of evaluations provide an accurate picture of your flexibility and other physical attributes (foot stucture, knee position, spinal curvature, hip flexion, etc.) that will help determine your final riding position.

Side View Analysis

Through careful analysis of the side view of you on your bike, your fitter will establish your optimal neutral position--one that's both powerful and comfortable--by precisely adjusting seat height, handlebar height, stem length, and cleat position.

Front View Analysis

A front view of you on your bike will help the fitter optimize your hip, knee, and foot alignment by adjusting the pedal-cleat interface. This allows you to ride square on the saddle, which naturally creates more balanced power delivery and increased performance.

Follow Up

Once your Body Geometry FIT is complete, your technician will advise you to test your newly adjusted bike for a week or so, then come back to the fit studio to discuss the effectiveness of your new position and address any questions or concerns you might have. If necessary, your fitter will also make minor adjustments to modify your initial fit--as many times as it takes--until you're completely satisfied.
